Suinocultura e o Novo Coronavírus

Instrução Técnica da Embrapa esclarece aos produtores de suínos sobre o contágio da Covid-19, a rotina, os cuidados que devem ser tomados e o reforço de biossegurança nas granjas.
A família de vírus chamada Coronaviridae é composta por diferentes vírus que podem causar doenças em humanos e em animais. Alguns coronavírus são zoonóticos, ou seja, transmissíveis entre humanos e animais. Mas a grande maioria não. O suinocultor pode se infectar com o COVID-19 pelo contato com animais? O vírus da COVID-19 é um vírus humano, transmitido entre humanos. Até o momento não há registros de contágio de suínos pelo vírus que causa a COVID-19.
